With spring right around the corner, we want to share with you some of our top ideas for creating eco-friendly patios. Some tips are simple – others a bit more time-intensive. But all provide you the flexibility to make your space your own while creating a contemporary and sustainable outdoor area....
At Loll, we lollygaggers are outdoorspeople. We run, ski, hike and perhaps most notably, we mountain bike. Case in point, here’s a picture of our founder and CEO after a lunch ride in Duluth: Our passion for the outdoors, along with our membership in Patagonia’s 1% for the Planet program, inspired...
At Loll, we’re proud to design and manufacture all of our outdoor furniture in the USA. For us, it’s not just about being part of a marketing trend. Manufacturing American-made products is at the core of who we are as a company. There are tons of economic and social benefits to making –...
In 2002, Operation Warm was founded to counter one of the most unfathomable hardships of childhood poverty; the lack of adequate winter clothing. By necessity, families struggling to survive prioritize food, heat, and rent above winter clothing resulting in frequent absenteeism from school. This translates not only to forgone learning but also...
This summer Loll Designs has added some motion to their product. We partnered up with Chicago based company, Heritage Bicycles, to bring you the Heritage Balance Bike. These bikes are increasing in popularity for kids age 2-6 and help your little ones skip the training wheels and head straight for the big...
Here at Loll we love getting feedback from our customers. Some of these have even morphed into friendships and some of them have even become collaborators. Take Josh Owen for example. He purchased some furniture from us a few years ago, became a fan, met us at ICFF last year, and ended up teaming...
Loll's been fortunate enough to get some fun press lately. Below are some noteworthy magazines and design sites that have included Loll in their top design picks. Fathers Day is just around the corner. June 15th is a day to celebrate and recognize the dear and loved dads that taught us to ride our first bike, gave us our first sip of beer when mom wasn’t looking, and let us watch Arachnophobia when we were 8 (which gave me...
This week I thought I would highlight our new Lollygagger Dining Collection. Like all our modern furniture, this collection comes in 10 different colors. This leaves endless possibilities and choices so I thought I would create three different set-ups using our new Lollygagger Bench and Picnic Table based on three different modern patios....
We are excited to announce our new Lollyagger Collection! This collection means a lot to us because it’s been years in the making and each piece not only represents who Loll is, but this is our first collection designed to be a cohesive family. The Lollygagger Family is intended to...
[caption id="attachment_8254" align="aligncenter" width="501"] Dave Benson (part owner of Loll Designs) from Halloween 2011[/caption] While looking through Google search of appropriate St. Patty images I saw a lot of leprechauns with crimped beards and before I could think “ew”, I remembered our very own Dave Benson bore a similar crimped...
All of us at the office wish we could have been magically transported to Palm Spring’s for the annual Modernism Week festival this past week. Instead, we are buried (again) under 2 feet of snow. We can, however, live vicariously through instagram feeds and our participating retailer, Just Modern. Just Modern...
[caption id="attachment_8072" align="aligncenter" width="600"] pliny the lounger on Polyvore[/caption] It’s not happenstance that we announce the launch of Pliny the Lounger days after the craft beer, Pliny the Younger. Russian River Brewing Co launched this super-hoppy triple IPA…and some are calling it the best beer on Earth. While our mouths water, let’s...
Each year Loll chooses a handful of non-profits to support through Patagonia’s 1% program. This year Loll kept this support close to home and has announced a matching donation to the Cyclist of Gitchee Gumee Shores also known as COGGS. COGGS is an organization that focuses on maintaining and improving cycling opportunities in the Twin Ports...
In my experience the word “Adirondack” has always left people tongue-tied and confused…”That’s the chair, right?” So what’s with this chair and why is it called an Adirondack? Loll’s recycled plastic Adirondack chair The chairs origin can be traced back to the beginning of the 1900’s in the Adirondack...
